Food will always be on the agenda. It’s a basic need, like shelter and clothes. Nothing compares to a delicious, well prepared meal. That’s why we celebrate chefs, those who turn food into art. Food, at it’s best, succeeds in engaging all the senses; food itself is also being taken a lot more seriously – not only have we seen the rise of celebrity chefs, there is also a growing public interest in quality ingredients and local flavours and cuisines.
Cooking is an act of judgement in which the mental palate is developed constantly.
Chefs should be better at tasting than they are at cooking.
